How do I take care of my new painting?
Taking care of a painting is not difficult, I use high-quality materials in my paintings and all work should be framed behind glass or appropriate acrylic. These things are made to last. But, you should not hang or display your painting for long periods in direct sunlight, as this could cause fading over time, even with the best materials. Hang your painting anywhere around your home in indirect sunlight and enjoy for generations to come.
How do I take care of my new print?
I've taken great care when choosing the printer I work with. Fade-resistant inks and archival paper are used in my prints—these things are made to last. However, prints and original paintings should not be hung for long periods of time in direct sunlight, as this could cause fading over time (even with the best materials). Prints and drawings will need to be framed under the correct acrylic or glass before hanging. Select a spot in your home with indirect sunlight, and enjoy your new piece for decades to come.
Can I make copies of the artwork I purchase?
All images of artwork, sold or otherwise, are copyright by Eileen-Marie Emerson and cannot be used or reproduced without express permission from the artist. (Use of copyright protected material without permission is illegal under copyright law.) For commissions I occasionally will allow a limited number of copies, but this is only allowable WITH my express permission. Reach out via my contact page if any questions.
